I am SO GLAD that I decided to invest in the R.E.A.D.Y for School Academy. As a first year teacher, it can be super overwhelming and challenging to know what and how to get ready for your first year of teaching.
I really didn't have a clue where to start, until I started this academy! Dr. Lori Friesen so clearly lays out all of the things you need to complete and think about.
She walks you through how to do EVERYTHING, and even tells you what to do before moving on to the next steps so you do not get overwhelmed.
I am not joking when I say I had no idea where to begin preparing on my own, but now I feel that I am at a very good starting place for starting the school year.
I am organized and have clear plans for how I will begin my year!

This Program Relieved More Stress than I Could Even Imagine
Still not knowing what the official plan is for when the students return, I feel confident in being able to plan for any of the scenarios quickly and to an acceptable standard of parents and admin.

"I Feel So Much More Confident"
I first discovered Dr. Lori Friesen after finding the Beginning Teacher Podcast on Spotify during a PD Day at the school I was long-terming for.
I have never been a podcast person but since all things teaching and education fascinates me, I figured I'd listen to an episode. Fast forward 6 hours....and I was completely amazed at how well this podcast related to my life.
I started listening to the podcast every day during my planning and sometimes on the drive home.
A few weeks after I became obsessed with the podcast and had taken so many notes about how to better prepare myself for my own classroom, Dr. Lori started talking about the READY for School Academy. And I knew immediately I was definitely signing up for it! I knew this academy would help me but I had no idea just how much!
Because of this program, my level of anxiety about my first year of teaching has dropped so much! I went from being happy to being so excited and actually wanting to start preparing!
I feel so much more confident in how I want my classroom to be and have my hands on so many resources that I cannot wait to use, including the Country Chic theme (because it is seriously exactly how I pictured my classroom to be!).
I owe so much to Dr. Lori and this program and I cannot wait to get started!!
